Wow it has been awhile since my last post.. And again I wish I had some great excuse but its really been just plain LAZY.. But I'm sure you all new that.. lol
So December has been kinda weird for our family.. I mean for me.. Ive been sick most of it anyway.. I have had bronchitis which became worse when the virus attacked my heart making it beat to fast and slow everything else down.. ie my liver.. I already have high blood pressure so this didn't help.. After about two weeks of suffering at home with the couldn't breathing and the need to throw up all my food the minute Ive eaten it.. ( I knew something was wrong because I don't even throw up when I'm pregnant).. After struggling to breathe I finally gave in and went to the ER. They of course couldn't believe how high my blood pressure was and they couldn't believe I was still alive, they admitted me for 3 days I had a procedure done on my heart to help it fight the virus and start pumping better.. Of course what this all comes down to is the fact that I NEED TO LOOSE WEIGHT... So here I am with a new year around the corner and 6 beautiful kids that I need to live for.. Ive started already Ive taken salt out of my day, and Ive also calmed down a lot on eating.. I have a whole box of oranges here so when I want to eat something out of habit, I peel me an orange and have at it.. I think its starting to work..
I just wanted to thank everyone who prayed for me.. I will be around.. New Year New me... Love it.. That's my motto for the upcoming year..

Not a boy but not yet a man...

Last Thursday Nov 4Th was my son Davids 16Th birthday.. Man I cant believe how time has flown.. 16yrs I encountered a lot of 1st... My 1st time feeling labour pains, my 1st natural delivery, my 1st time feeling so much pain, and then quickly forgetting everything while I held my newborn baby son in my arms.. And the most important 1st was that of feeling such unconditional love for someone I just met the kind of love that can only happen between mother and child.. My son David is my oldest son, he holds a lot on his shoulders, I always talk with my husband at night and say David seems like he carries the weight of the world on his shoulders.. I don't like thinking of him like that. I want to him to live life and to beat it at its own game.
For his birthday gift we allowed him to go to California and watch his cousins play and hang out with them.. This was to be his 1st time flying alone. I went to drop him off at the airport and I asked him if he wanted me to walk him to the gate, he laughed and said No I'm alright. I then asked him if he wanted me to check him in at the curb and then he could go into the airport alone, he smiled and said OK if you want to.. I pulled up checked him in and with a quick hug and a I love you mom.. He walked away, with a quick look back.. He was off on what was to be his 1st of many adventures without his mom..
I pray the Lord keeps him safe from harm and that he knows the Lord is there for him, even if he thinks hes to old for his mom.. I pray he never looses his smile in his eyes, or his trust in the world. I pray he keeps his I CAN DO IT attitude.. I pray he always remembers his talents and uses them always, and thanks the Lord for them always.. I pray someday when the time comes I CAN let him go, and let him experience his 1st falls in the world, which will only make him stronger.. I pray when he looks back to see me I'm always there.. I pray he never stops looking back to see me.. My final prayer is that he ALWAYS knows how much his mommy loves him and that in a heart beat I would give up everything for him..
Happy Birthday My Son David... I couldn't of asked for a better son to start my family with.. Daddy and Mommy love you so much...

I need to start taking care of myself so I can take care of my family.. Ill keep you updated on how this goes.. I need to find something to do for the winter months, I guess Ill be at the rec center with everyone else.. lol..

Nerves.
This was a very NERVE racking weekend.. Well just Friday was..
Friday 8/21/09 was the official start of the HIGH SCHOOL football season. Although it was a pre-season game it was still something we have been waiting for.. Kearns High played Hunter High which is our rival. They are not in our region but we were happy to get them for the pre-season.. I was nervous all day Friday I couldn't function I didn't eat (you would think I was the one that was playing lol).. My thoughts were on my oldest son David. This Friday was to be his first high school varsity game. I kept kept being worried because he is so young (15 yrs to be exact) and he would be going up against seniors.. I just didn't want him to get hurt or to be embarrassed in front of everyone. I prayed like crazy that day for the Lord to stay with him and to keep him safe. Man what am I going to be like when he leaves for his mission and college... lol.. Needless to say he did a great job his guy never got through and on defense he got stopped the running back.. I'm so sad to see him grow up so fast but I am proud he is meeting his new challenges head on (literally).. I know he will have a great season, its just the MOM in me that gets nervous. Now that the official 1st varsity game is out of the way we can concentrate on the rest of the year... Man one son down and 3 more to go..
David decided to put his Uncle Davids number on his shoes.. He is in Iraq and will miss this season.. We love you uncle David, cant wait for you safe return..

Ohhhhhh the teenage years.. Out of mouths of babes
Whats with the TEENAGE YEARS.. Why cant they be just as smooth sailing as the infant years. I have 2 teenage boys now and let me tell you I want out. Now.. I want out.. lol.. Why must everything I say be wrong, why must everything I do be wrong, until someone who is younger and I guess cooler (oh these kids don't know how cool I really am.. lol) says the exact same thing and then they do it. What the heck is up with that? What part of listen to me and things will go smoothly don't they get. Then when their life falls apart (when can I tell them its just the beginning) I have to come fix it. I feel so bad that I don't say I TOLD you so.. When can I? When is it the most proper time to say I TOLD YOU SO. lol..
Some recent conversations Ive had with my teenagers
Mom: David hows football practice
David: Good
Mom: Just good, how is it, what position are you and stuff like that
David: Mom its just good don't worry about it
Mom: Don't worry about it, OK then you can walk to practice since I don't have to worry about it
David: What does that mean
Mom: It means if you don't want me to worry about it then walk
David: I cant walk, why would I walk
Mom: Why because I'm not taking you anymore that's why you would walk
David: OK you win, football practice is fine, I play O line which means offense mom and I play center, and long snap, what else do you want to know so that I can get a ride
Mom: Forget it I don't want to know anymore the moment has passed
David: First you want to know then you don't want to know.. And you say I'm confusing..
See what I mean why cant they just answer and tell you how things are going.
Second conversation
Mom: Mone get ready so we can go sign up for football
Mone: Do I have to play this year
Mom: Yes
Mone: Why?
Mom: What else are you going to do? If you find something else to do then you don't have to play, like join a club a reading club a science club what.. If you don't want to play sports then find something else for you to do.
Mone: Can I join a video game club
Mom: Where is that at
Mone: Here in my living room
Mom: No that is not a club
Mone: Mom I play Halo which means I save the earth from all that is evil.. I will sacrifice my summer and play it so you guys can sleep well at night
Mom: Do you really think I'm going to fall for that
Mone: OK I will play football but I'm not going to try my best
Mom: Oh yes you will
Mone: Dang you HATE me mom,..
If I have to continue to have these kinds of conversations with my kids I might as well call it quits now.. lol..
Lord be with during these teenager years so that we ALL can get through it
Since posts are better with a picture.. Heres one of the age I want them to stay.. Its my baby Teki.. you know the age when everything I Say it RIGHT.. lol

Court anyone..
So I thought today would be a slightly less stressful day.. Boy if that day really ever comes then no
one will be able to find me.. lol..
I forgot about my son Mone court today.. From fighting in school, he is finally going to meet with someone. On their first offense they don't have to see the judge they meet with someone and go over things and Mone got a fine. He has to pay 100 dollars, let me remind you he is NOT working. But he has 30 days to pay it. In Utah we have a NO tolerance with fighting rule anyone who fights even if he doesn't start it, will be suspended and referred to courts. We went today and Mone got his scare. Hopefully he has learned his lesson and he will be fine at his new school (fingers crossed).. Needless to say I hope he has learned his lesson and that him and MOne stay together to play..

Weight limits..

So you can tell from the title that we are having weight issues.. (and NO its not me..lol)..
My two sons Mone and Sione are running back for their little leagues and every year they have to make the weight to be able to run the ball.. And every year we are on the border of being too heavy.. If that happens then they become linemen and cant run the ball.. So this week we are watching what they eat and they run every morning with bags on.. Mone has to weigh 135 and is at 133 so he is dieting to maintain his weight.. Sione has to be 100 and is 102.5.. So he is dieting so he can make the weight.. I just don't get the whole weight thing. I mean we want the smaller ones to run the ball but we let the heavier ones play line and tackle the smaller ones.. I just don't get why there can be NO weight limit and may the best person for that position no matter what the weight play it. I have an older son who is a linemen, but he gets to hit all the smaller players holding the ball. He says its fun because he can THROW them. Ive seen him play and he does literally throw them. I guess I should be grateful because I know in some states if your to heavy you cant play at all.. I just think we are stressing WEIGHT to much at such a young age.... DON'T YOU?
So here's to fish and vegetable dinners for a week, and water, and more water, and yet more water.. I hope my boys make weight this Thursday.. Maybe I should follow their example and Ill make weight some day.. hahahaha

Busy Day...
Monday 7-3-09 was a busy day.. I love when I get things off to a great start.. I actually made it to the gym, I did 2 miles on the elliptical and 9.75 on the bike.. I actually wanted to watch the end of the movie at the gym so I sat on the bike.. lol.. After I came home and scrubbed my kitchen down I mean scrubbed.. (yes even the walls).. Then off to run some errands and to pick up David from his aunts house.. We got back just in time to get the boys ready for football practice sat their for 3 hours (they all have different start times) kinda wish I knew how to knit or something that way I could do something productive.. Guess I will start reading.. After came home made dinner (meatballs and rice) and then it was off to bed.. I love when my Mondays go this smoothly hopefully its trend that will go all week.. I'm up early this morning to head to the gym before the babies wake up.. Gotta love it..
Since a post is boring without a pix here's one for you to look at.. lol

Football Season
Like the title says Football season is in full affect.. After trying all year to talk everyone out of playing we signed them up.. The only one that wanted not to play was my son Mone (big surprise.. he wanted to sit at home and play video games). So the schedules in the evening are as follows, David goes to the High School at 5pm, Mone at practice at 5:30pm, Sione starts practice at 6pm.. And then My 3 younger ones and myself sit there until 8:30pm.. Now do you understand why I cant stand football season..lol.. Although I do love the getting out and playing aspect of it, knowing that my boys are getting in shape is a good thing, I don't really like the politics of it all.. The parents on the sideline and all their talk.. If you ever see me at a game you will see I tend to sit alone or with my sisters. I don't want to hear any of it, I want to concentrate on watching my boys practice and that's it.. So I would like to say Good luck with the season Kearns High School, and Kearns lil League may it turn out the way you all hope for.. GO David, Mone, Sione and Baby David (nephew).. Ill be cheering you on from the sidelines..

My Lil Lelu Birthday

July 28Th is my oldest daughters birthday.. Like in the previous post we celebrated it last Thursday with all the July birthdays in our family.. I just wanted to post a little something about her.. She is my oldest daughter and she has put up with this family for 10 long years.. lol.. She has sat through more basketball games and more football games then any person should, she has helped with the younger siblings while all 3 of her older brothers are busy with their games or practices, she has done all this while Iman has been yelling her name out loud.. (if you have heard Iman yell then you know its not a good thing).. I thank the Lord every day for such a wonderful daughter it takes a special girl to put up with MY boys, she has learned to ignore them and to cry a little so they get in a little bit of trouble..lol.. I pray the Lord blesses her with a full life and that she reaches all her goals that both her and our Father in Heaven have set for her. I pray she always has the heart of Forgiveness and shows it to everyone the same way she has shown it to me. I pray the world is kind to her and never takes her kindness for granted (because that's when the 3 older brothers come in handy lol) I pray she never gets tired of hearing Iman call her name for help for someday she will learn there is no other love like one shared between sisters. I pray she always runs to her daddy when he walks into a room knowing that HE is going to fix everything. I pray she always call my name when she is sick knowing I'm going to make her feel better.. I love you Lelu, the Lord couldn't of sent me a more perfect and beautiful baby girl.. Love you Mom & Dad..

Too long...

Wow it has been awhile, and I wish I could say that I've been busy with life and my business and stuff important like that but NOOOOO I'm lazy.. lol.. And that about sums it up. My house did survive the flu season, even though in my house it lasted for 2 and half months. When you have 6 children that's just how long things last, except for food.. My kids have been busy with life, David is finally entering high school I'm nervous but excited for him at the same time, Mone is 13 his birthday was yesterday we celebrated his, my daughter Lelu and my nephew Baby David last week at the rec center (those are the pix above) my son Sione is still the same still thinking he can take on the world (I'm beginning to believe this kid can) My daughter Lelu is growing up so fast today is her birthday ( I'll write something later just for her) my two babies are still the reason this house is so amused. My older kids love them and my babies live for their older brothers and sister.. All is good in the Finau household.. (finally)..
Football season is upon us and if you know us then you know that's where we will be every evening and every Saturday.. I wish I could say weather permitting but we are out there during ALL kinds of weather, some Saturdays the babies stay in the Suburban with an older sibling.. What can I say you do what you gotta do.. lol..
I will be better with the blogging.. Hey if you have nothing else to do check out my photography blog.. www.daslitphotography.blogspot.com..
Have a nice day

My husband is the last one left and has been told by his Dr to stay in bed for 2 weeks.. (he is the worse patient ever).. LOL.. But i will get back into gear starting today.. Don't worry our house is still as UNBELIEVABLY weird as it ever is...
Here's a picture, just because a post is funner with a picture..

15 min energy nap..
Why when I tell people "Don't put the kids to sleep past 6pm or they will be up all night" They always end up putting the kids to bed at around 6:30pm and then when I ask " wheres the babies" they look at me like they did me a favor and they say "Oh I just put them to sleep"
So of course this happened yesterday, and guess what its 5am in the morning and they have finally fallen asleep, that right you guessed we have had an ALL nighter. Me, Iman and Teki. We have read books (every child's book in the house) we have watched TV (Disney channel) we have sang every primary song in the book (and no I didn't sound good) I have begged them to sleep, I have offered to pay them money (no takers this would of worked with my older kids).. Now as I look at them sleeping, I realize the Lord made them so cute so I could forget all about tonight..
Good night world..

From the mouths of babes.. (a 12 yr old one)
Mom: "Why is Sione crying outside?"
Mone: "Oh he fell off the bike."
Mom: "Sione come here, David go check on him and bring him here."
A few minutes pass
David: "Mom Sione is crying cuz Mone threw a shoe at him while he was riding the bike and he fell."
Mom: "Mone come here."
Mone: "Mom he didn't fall off because I was throwing the shoe, he fell off because he turned his head back and was looking at me."
Mom: "Looking at you what?"
Mone: "Looking at me throw the shoe."
Mom: "So he fell watching you throw the shoe."
Mone: "Yes but I didn't tell him to look at me, and that's why he fell."
Mom: "Are you kidding me, so it was his fault he fell off the bike because he turned to look at you throw the shoe at him."
Mone: "Yep, so he didn't fall because of something I did it was his own choice to turn and look at me." "Do ya hear mom."
Mom: "Mone can you hear yourself, Sione turned to look at you because you were throwing a shoe at him, I'll say it again.. Sione turned to look at YOU because YOU were throwing a shoe at him." "Think about it who's fault does it sound like YOU or Sione?"
Mone: "All I hear is Sione turned to look at me, he shouldn't of turned to look at me, so I think its his fault."
Mom: "But he looked at you because you were throwing a shoe, he wouldn't of looked at you if you weren't throwing a shoe, Does that make sense."
Mone: "No I never told him to look at me, he decided to do that by himself."
David: "Why cant I just hit him."
Mone: "Why do you always want to hit me."
David: "Because you are always doing things like this."
Mone: "Like what it was Sione choice to look at me I didnt call his name."
Mom: "Mone its your fault, you decided to throw the shoe and thats what started the whole thing. Do you understand?"
Mone: "I guess I just dont get why I'm in trouble for something Sione did to himself."
Why cant things just be simple around here, or with him... HELP.. LOL.. This morning he is still wondering why he has to do all of Siones chores.. When are they going to legalize child beat downs... LOL.. NOT..

Mothers Day weekend
I know I'm a little late, better late then never.. LOL
My mothers day was great, it was very relaxing and as stress free as it could get. I woke up to roses and cards from all my kids, and their dad. I liked it. I went to Brunch with my sisters @ Marie Calenders if you have not been their for their mothers day brunch you should check it out next year.. I recommend it to everyone. After that I went to church with my family, after church it was off to the cemetery to spend some time with MY mother who passed away Feb '99.. Not a day goes by that I don't think about her and our relationship.. I can still remember everything about her, her expressions, her habits, her talents (which I didn't inherit), her likes, her dislikes, her willingness to help people, her stories of "When I was young". Every time I think of her I cant help but smile. I wish my kids would of known her, they would of loved Grandma. I see a lot of her in my kids, and when they do stuff that reminds me of her I laugh and cry a little. I've told countless stories of her to my children they love em. I know she is watching us from above, and enjoying all the headaches my kids give me.. She is probably in some way, shape or form, egging them on to GIVE IT to me. I LOVE MY MOM and MISS HER DEARLY..
After a couple hours of hanging out at the cemetery my husband took us all to dinner.. I love Mothers Day.. I'm going to start a petition to have it a MOTHERS DAY WEEK.. Any takers?

From the mouths of babes.. (a 12 yr old one)

Mom "You better stop playing around in English, or I am going to put you ESL"
Son "Whats ESL"
Mom "English Second Language"
Son "What does that mean?"
Mom "It means you don't understand English"
Son "I don't get it how does ESL mean you don't understand English"
Mom "Its for people who speak a different language and English is their second language"
Son "So instead of telling people I don't understand them I should just say ESL"
Mom "No its the name of the class"
Son "What class"
Mom "The class I'm going to tell them to put you in if you don't stop playing around in English"
Son "What does ESL have to do with English"
Older son "How much more proof do you need put him in it already....."
Son "You two are crazy, making up words and stuff"
Older son "What word did we make up"
Son "ESL no body says that word"
Older son "Mom can I hit him"
Mom "No I'm going to"

What you can HEAR when your sick

Ive been sick for the past couple of days.. And not the PRETTY sick either.. LOL.. That means Ive been confined to my room, fevering, coughing and suffering ALL by myself. That's right no one wanted to even stop by my room and see how SICK MOM was doing. When I needed something it took all my strength to get someone to hear me. Yes I even started pounding on the wall.
While I was laying in bed, I could hear every conversation in the house. And let me tell you WOW I should sit in my room in silence more often. You learn a lot about your family when no one knows your listening. Here are some things I learned about my family while listening to them.
1. My husband CAN run the house from the couch.. And that even means turn the channel without a remote.
2. My older sons are NOT wrestling nicely with my baby boy Teki, and the crying he makes from the room is NOT self inflicted.
3. My daughter Iman is a big BULLY.
4. My daughter Lelu does NOT let Iman BULLY her around.
5. My oldest son David laughs and has cute comments after EVERY single thing we say to him.
6. My second oldest son Amone really isn't listening to a thing we say.
7. My third oldest son Sione really doesn't like to clean as much as I thought. (should of guessed that one)
8. My family watches way tooooooo much TV.
9. My kids DON'T hate each other as much as I thought they did.
10.My kids DON'T like their parents as much as I thought they did. (should of guessed that one to)
11.My husband has NO clue:
a. How many times the babies need to eat
b. How many times the babies need a diaper change
c. How many times the 4 older kids eat (yes honey they eat right after school)
d. Where the kids need to be and what time (and yes honey they all need to attend their
activities)
e. That I am THIS busy EVERYDAY (no honey I dont clock out at 3pm)
This just confirms what I've been telling my husband for a while, "He better pray I stay alive longer then him, because he has no CLUE what my or his kids daily schedule is". And he has the nerve to ask me everyday why? 5am or 10pm is the only time in the day I can go to the gym..
That was just some of the things I learned, but the most important thing I learned was
I DON'T KNOW MY KIDS AS WELL AS I THOUGHT I DID..
Its funny I thought I knew them but I don't... Sure I know the basics of each of my children, but I want to know them the real them.. I want to know the struggles they go through at school at church and even at home. I guess what I'm trying to say is my new goal is to REALLY get to know my children before its to late.. I mean shouldn't that be the GOAL of every MOM? So wish me luck, I'm sure Ill need it....

The good thing about VIDEO

I'm going through my cell phone to delete videos because my kids love to record themselves singing, dancing and just plain being GOOFY.. When my very first video throws me for a complete loop.. There is my son Amone showing some ball handling skills with a beach ball, my son Sione is recording withing a few seconds you see my daughter Lelu dancing through the video and taking the spot light from Amone, within a split second I see Amone throwing the beach ball right at Lelu's face.. That's right he threw a ball right at a girls face.. What the heck? I'm so mad that I cant even be mad anymore. (Does that make sense) I just think to myself what the heck is this boy going through, and what else can I LEGALLY do to him to make him learn his lesson.. I've taken all he loves to do away and I've done a whole week of him doing all the chores (longest week of MY life) I've also done the famous hair cut.. It never fails just when I've finally calmed down on the OTHER 2 incidents I find something else to punish him for. I've informed him that LIFE as he knows it is over, and that he is going to HATE the next 2 weeks of his life. I've also told him that I'm done playing games with him, and that he should probably walk a straight line from now till the end of his life.. Yes I told him to consider that a threat.. So be forewarned everyone until Amone is done learning his lessons that he's suppose to learn KEEP YOUR DAUGHTERS AWAY FROM HIM. But don't you worry HE WILL LEARN HIS LESSON.. Again I pray to the Lord to bless him that he may now whats right from wrong (heaven knows I'm still trying to learn that) but I hope he pulls out of this beginning of teenager years soon..
I love ya Amone, and don't worry MOMMY will fix this...

When to fight and When to walk away?
Today my son gets home from school and says there was a huge fight at school between the Mexican gang kids (who don't even go to their school) and the Tongan kids, apparently from what I gathered the Tongan kids walked out of school when school was done and some other kids told them that those kids are asking about them, they (the visitors) walked up to the kid standing near my son and asked who he was they exchanged names one kid tried to hit the other kid and missed and the my sons friend pretty much did the rest, David grabbed his friend and tried to hold him back but things escalated past that and a big brawl pretty much happened, my son David kept grabbing his friend and saying "C'mon we don't need this use your head, walk away" But one thing led to another and police were called and everyone was called to come back to the school to give statements.. While I was in the V Principal office she thanked David for using his head and staying calm during the fight. She asked David what happened and David told what he had saw which matched the statement he had given. I asked her what the other statements had said she informed me pretty much the same as what David had said. She told me that both sides agreed that David did not fight and was trying to stop it on both sides. I asked her what are our boys suppose to do when someone from a different school comes and tries to hit them first. She answers they are suppose to walk away and get help... This answer has me confused.. Will the person they are fighting let them walk away? Or will he attack them from the back? She told me that the opponents in the fight were much smaller then my son and his friends, which led me to the question Who's fault is that they came to my sons school looking for a fight? Every question I asked her she answered with "I have to just go back to the size of the opponents"... What kind of answer is that, the OTHER kids as she called them came to THEIR school looking for them and wanting to fight them they came with friends they threw the first punch and because they GOT beat up the Poly kids in the fight are all in trouble.. Walk away? When, How? How can one walk away when someone is punching you, or how will you know they WILL let you walk away? I really think the POLY kids in this case got the CRAP end of the deal because of their size... I don't think fighting solves anything, but I believe sometimes and with some situations you can get really hurt if you don't fight back...
I've told my son he did the right thing he pushed his little brother back into the school for safety, and he helped his friend.. I've been told by the school cop it probably would of been worse had David not grabbed everyone and got them out of the fight situation.. I'm thankful the Lord kept my son and his friends safe... Do I think there should be a punishment YES, do I think that the punishment given to the boys fits the crime... NO....

Cycling... An hour straight from the devil
I have been trying to get healthy, I have high blood pressure so I've been going to the gym. I was up to 3 miles on the elliptical and just so you know I use to get to a half a mile and then I would come home and sleep, yes everyone I was that out of shape.. LOL.. Anyway I've been switching up my workout routine because it was very boring my sister and I decided to attend the different types of classes that the gym offers. I've tried Zumba at the West Valley Rec and finally talked my sister into trying it with me at Golds Gym, per my previous post I didn't make it to Mondays class, so I finally made it to Wednesday nights class, and wow did we have fun, I of course was so off beat but I didn't care, I figured hey I'm getting into shape right? who cares what everyone else thinks.. Yesterday we decided to go in and try Cycling..... We had heard from a lot of people that Cycling was the class to loose weight in.. Let me tell you oh my gosh I have never sweat ed this bad before in my life (and I have had 6 kids natural birth) this was the worse. I didn't even keep up with the class and I could hardly breathe I kept looking at clock wondering when is this going to be over.. The class itself is a pusher the instructor makes you want to go faster and faster on the bike and for some reason you talk yourself into thinking that you can so you start to peddle harder, then harder, then you realize at any moment you are going to faint.. I could not believe how hard riding on a bike is, they have dials that you turn on the bike to make it harder and WOW is all I have to say.. I see how everyone is loosing weight because of it, it's a keeper and I'm going to definitely include it a couple of times a week in my workout schedule.. OK the reason I thought it was an hour from the devil... Let me let you in on something, the seats on the bike are not the business.. Maybe if your 100 lbs or less but any other size it is not the business.. So I'm going go and buy me a cushioned seat from the store $10.00 and use it until I'm under 100 lbs (hey I can dream right)... So my advice to all is to take a BIG towel when you go cycling and get yourself a cushioned seat...

Chapter 3 ... The life of Amone..
So as you all know my son has been going through a stage in his life that I cant wait for him to get out of.. LOL.. And I would think that after a weekend that he has had, where he was the one to do ALL the chores in the house and he had to amuse the 2 babies all weekend. He also did all the chores brought on by grandpa.. He had a lot of teasing from everyone (if you know my family you know EVERYTHING is a joke)(yes even suspension)..
So yesterday evening I'm trying to hurry out of the house so I can go to the gym, I want to try Zumba at Golds gym I tell my son Mone to get me my socks and I go into the bathroom and brush my teeth, I walk out and what do my eyes see... Mone standing there in the hallway with the socks that he had on in his hands handing them to me..
Mom "Is this the socks you just had on?"
Mone "Yep"
Mom "So you want me to wear the socks that you had on, and you just came in from playing basketball outside."
Mone "Yep"
Mom "So is that what you think of me, you think I want to wear your dirty socks, even though I do laundry ALL day so YOU can wear clean socks."
Mone "Well you said for me to get you socks you didn't say CLEAN socks, I didn't know what you meant"
Mom "You didn't know what I meant or you just didn't want to get up and get my socks."
Mone "Mom I didn't know what you meant, your putting thoughts into my mind"
Mom "I'm putting thoughts into your mind or words into your mouth"
Mone "Mom I think its thoughts into my mind mom, how can someone put words into my mouth, man mom your a FOB ha ha ha ha"
Mom "Mone I'm going to count to 2 and if I don't have a clean pair of socks in my hands I'm going to put my hands on your body.."
Mone "Hands on my body, thoughts in my mind, words in my mouth, your funny mom really funny.."
Can someone come over and give this boy a CLUE.. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I should do with this boy? I'll take any help from anyone.. This boy is trying me and trying my whole family. He is walking a thin line with everyone, and I think only by the grace of God Mone is still alive.. LOL
I swear I've never asked so much of the Lord like I have asked this past weekend, for the Lord to calm me and every adult that comes into contact with this boy DOWN.. They say that the hardest the boy is as a child the better the child is as an adult.. Man if that's the case he will be the first President of the Universe... LOL..
Calgon take me away...

WHY?????
Phone call... "Mom can you come get me I've been suspended"
Mom... "Why did you get suspended?"
Caller..."Because I got into a fight (caller starts crying)"
Mom... "Why did you fight? Where they hitting you?"
Caller... "No"
Mom... "Did they say something to you"
Caller..."No"
Mom..."I'm sorry why did you fight"
Caller..."Because"
Mom..."Because why, help me here child I'm trying to calm down before I get to the school"
Caller..."Just cuz I wanted to fight"
How does one react to a conversation like that? Every part of me was wanting to get to that school and find out what the heck is going on..
So I get to the school and speak with the Vice Principal and she goes into full detail of the fight and reads me MY child's statement.. Where he says that HE went up to the kid and asks to fight and the other kid says NO and he starts swinging anyway.. What the heck? I'm fuming as I look across the room to my child who is still sitting there with the JUST CUZ look on his face. I asked my son what was going on he comes up with some excuse about how they are talking about this and that.. Oh by the way this is his 3rd version that he has about the fight. So of course I don't believe any of them..
WHY?
Why at the teenage age do they think they can take on the world and why do they start trouble when they should of just went to class.. Why cant they just know they are going to get into trouble and walk away? Why cant the Vice Principal leave you alone with your child when you get there? (that's when the anger part of me has hit the roof) WHY WHY WHY do they think JUST CUZ is an answer?
I pray the Lord blesses my son Amone to get through these next 7 days for they will be the longest 7 days of his life... I pray the Lord helps me find more things for him to do? I pray the Lord blesses him with the knowledge to sort the laundry? I pray the Lord gives him the knowledge to scrub the bathroom, and the rooms and the kitchen. I pray the Lord gives him the strength to move all the stuff from the backyard to the dumpster that will NOW be delivered on Thursday. I pray the Lord blesses him with the knowledge of babysitting while his mother is out coupon shopping. My final prayer is for the Lord to bless my son that after this week he will learn that he has so much to give and it can all be taken away so quickly.. He really is a nice boy but lately has been going through something, I hope he snaps out of it, before his next fight is with ME..LOL.. Lord help me get through the teenage years..

I'm so glad when DADDY comes home...
Yesterday my daughter Iman kept asking me to use the phone, I asked who do you want to call? She kept telling me DADDDY OK DADDY..
I dialed the number for her and waited to hear him answer then I handed her the phone, she starts talking up a storm and then I hear GUMMOO daddy k GUMMOO.. K bye.. Then she hangs up and looks at me and says "Want GUMMOO mommy wait k daddy GUMMOO k daddy GUMMOO k.. I looked at her and just laughed, she then looked out the window and there she stayed until her DAD showed up.. Luckily he was on his way home already.. LOL..
When he got out of the car he waved 4 laffy taffy at her and she jumped off the couch and yelled "GUMMOO"..
Watching her wait for her daddy made me laugh it reminded me of when I was young and waiting for my dad to come home, it was the highlight of my day. Me (and all of my brothers and sisters) use to run while yelling throughout the house DADDYS HOME, and then we would race to see who could get to him first. It use to make my mom mad because of the noise we would make trying to get to him, because you see we couldnt go outside to play until he got home.. I guess the saying is true "History repeats itself"..
Know I'm off to enjoy my GUMMOO... Just incase you wondered what the Tongan translation for Laffy Taffy is.. There you have it GUMMOO... LOL..

Introducing.. Miss Lelu Ana Finau
My boys left to the gym yesterday afternoon and I wanted to go and play with my new camera, its been really bad weather wise so when the sun snuck out a little bit I couldn't help but tell my daughter lets go.. She of course was all to happy to help me out.. LOL
My daughter is very helpful she is the one that is stuck at home with me and the babies when the boys go to all their stuff. She dances and sings and will do it for anyone in a drop of a dime, she is begging me to start volleyball so this summer I will introduce her to that sport and see where she takes it to. (I'm sure she will go far) She is very competitive, having 3 brothers ahead of you I guess she just cant help it. She is her brothers number 1 fan and can be found at all their games on the sideline.. Maybe I should put her in cheer leading.. LOL
Lelu is a really great older sister, she has always wanted a little sister and 8 yrs later she has a little sister Iman following her around.. Lelu can do no wrong in the eyes of Iman in fact if you yell at Lelu while Iman is around you better be ready for a FIGHT Iman will come charging at you..
I'm grateful for my daughter Lelu and I only see big and great things in her future..
Thanks for helping me play with my camera Lelu, next time be less obvious.. LOL
AN AGREEMENT.. SEVERAL CLAUSES.. A PHONE CALL.. AND A HAIRCUT..
As parents you learn to pick and choose your battles, you learn that in order to get a lot out of your kids you have to give a little, you also learn not to sweat the little things ( a lesson I'm still learning).. That being said...
THE AGREEMENT: Amone Finau my second oldest child, decides he wants to grow his hair out, he wants it to be a FRO first and get it as high as he can and then he wants to dread it.. At first it is so NOT an option and I wont even hear his argument. Then I strike a deal with him, if he want to grow it, then he must have NO F's and be in good standings with all his teachers.. As long as he brings home no F's then I will not touch it.
THE CLAUSES:
1. Grandpa Pouha can override this ruling.. Just because he is Grandpa..
2. No fighting, No getting in trouble of any kind at school.
3. Chores must be done to the best of his ability.
4. No fighting with brothers or sisters.
And we have a deal, and the growing of hair begins.. I want everyone to know that if you have seen my son I HATE his hair. This is where the GIVE a little GET a lot rule comes into play.
After an F in Math, 100 excuses, and many other clauses added to the contract I get
A PHONE CALL: From the assistant principal at Kennedy Jr High informing me that Amone is starting to be very disruptive in the hallways and that him and his friends are starting to cause some trouble in the hallways at lunch and after school. The usual 7th grade stuff like teasing kids, showing up late for classes, talking to much in class she just wanted to let me know before things got out of hand.. I thanked her for the phone call and informed her that the problem would be dealt with that night and that Amone would be a different student in the morning.
THE HAIRCUT: When Amone got home from school the first thing he was informed of was that the deal was done and the hair cut was going to take place later that evening after dinner, he was mad and started making a lot more excuses, I then looked at him and said "I'm done, your getting a hair cut tonight, you have no one to be mad at except yourself."
So there you have it.. I have learned that with kids you have to give a little but when push comes to shove you have to put your PARENT pants on and say enough is enough. I'm sure this wont be the last breech of contract between my kids and I but it has been one of the longest.. And I'm glad it's over..
Procrastination... & a science project...
Needless to say from the title of this post.. I procrastinated on a science project that my son Sione has been hounding me over.. Of course last night after eating dinner and putting the babies down to sleep and getting everyone else to settle down and go to bed, my son Sione looks at me and says "Man mom what am I going to do my science project is due tomorrow?"
I look at him and tell him to go grab the scrapbook stuff from the garage and we start thinking of what he wants to do, BACKGROUND... Sione is my straight A student.. He does all his homework the first night he brings it home and he is a WIZ when it comes to math. In fact when we lived in Chicago his elementary school newspaper did an article on him and his math skills.. So I didn't want his first B to be because his mom was a looser.. (only for a moment LOL)..
Sione says he wants to do something with popcorn.. (This kid can live on the stuff).. So we decide to see which kernel pops the most popcorn FROZEN or ROOM TEMP? So last night we put some in the freezer and then we start getting the board ready, we decide to print out everything we need and then we will pop it in the morning and just finish up then.. Needless to say the room temp kernels popped the most, and we have a science project for Sione to turn in.. Whether it is an A project we will see..
I would like to say that this is a lessened learned and that I wont procrastinate every again on science projects.. But Sione is my 3rd son and the older two have placed in their science fairs, and I will admit it ALL science projects have been done 1 or 2 days prior to due date.. So I cant promise anything..

Happy Birthday Sione...
Today March 20 is Sione Finaus' birthday.. Every year we have had his birthday at the Nickelcade in Taylorsville Utah.. He loves it, this is his favorite spot.. We've missed a couple of times but the majority of them have been here..
Sione had a lot of fun, he had endless amounts of nickels to go play with.. Our birthday tradition there is for everyone to play and win tickets and then we combine them all and the birthday person gets to pick out ALL he wants first and the rest of the tickets are divided up with the remainder of the kids starting with the young ones first. We ended up with a little more then 7,000 tickets the most we have ever had.. (thank you Lil Lelu and Fia they figured out a game and got tons of tickets from it).. The Tongolei family still are a threat to be reckoned with they have to be the winner of the most tickets (or maybe just Christina).. Jeff and Sarah are always fun to watch on games he is so competitive and she is so kick back it's funny to watch Jeff try and call her on and she laugh and play the game, I'm not sure when Jeff will figure out that he is competing with himself.. LOL.. Every year we go it ends up with the adults having more fun then the kids.. LOL.. I laughed at Uncle David playing the boxing game and Mona Lisa playing Dance Revolution and thought that was the highlight of the party, until my husband gets on the horse racing game and is riding it like it's real and is so loud everyone stops what they are doing and stares.. That is when I knew it was time to take the ADULTS home.. LOL
Happy Birthday Sione may the Lord bless you as you grow into a Young Man.. Love ya..
Sorry for the many photos since this was about Siones birthday, I let him pick the pictures he wanted up and he picked one of everyone there.. Go figure.. LOL.. Lesson learned..
