School season 2011-2012

Today my oldest son David begins his SENIOR year, I know I'm so scared of him growing up and not needing me like he did when he was younger, soooo many things I want to say soooo many things I still want to do with him, and yet he's beginning a chapter in his life that wont include me as much anymore.. I'm scared, yet I know in my heart David is ready. Being the oldest David has been through it all, our DON'T know how to do a thing type of parenting, to our We know everything type of parenting and yet David seems to have turned out alright, in fact better then alright. He's a great kid and I love him with all my heart, might, mind and strength. I pray the Lord keeps him safely by his side during this senior year and that he helps him become the man I know God wants him to be.. I'm still NERVOUS.. lol.. I love ya David..

With all that being said my second son Amone begins his HIGH school career, he's so excited to be leaving Entheos Charter he always had something to say about that school, yet with a big grin he takes on Kearns TODAY, I also see him not needing me as much anymore, he grew up so fast well toooo fast is what I mean. I pray the Lord helps him as he finds his way from boy to young man, and that Amone keeps the Lord in mind when making all the choices he has to make ahead of him..

Follow the Lord boys, he will guide you through all the craziness HIGH school offers.. lol

Where has the time gone..

I've had a lot of things running through my mind lately and its all been about my kids. I cant believe how much they have grown and how soon they will NOT need mom anymore. I'm so grateful for them in my life and grateful, that despite our ups and downs they still allow me to be apart of their life (or as my husband puts it I allow myself to be in their lives.. lol)
My son David starts his senior year this fall and I'm nervous, I pray the Lord guides him through this exciting time and may he realize that he holds the whole world in his palm of his hands. My second son starts high school, I meet that thought with a half scared and half excited feeling THIS SHOULD BE INTERESTING.. lol.. My babies are growing up so fast, my son Sione is entering his last season of lil league football season and he will play high school after this fall season, wow seems like yesterday the older boys were teaching him the basics of the sport, now and look at him he cant be stopped.. I pray the Lord holds them safely in his arms during this football season.
My daughters are still the personality of the family. Lelu is done with volleyball season and she is back to hula practice with Ame and the MKK crew, she loves it and I must admit she's pretty good (but then again I'm a little bias.. lol) she enters Young Women in a month and I don't think I'm ready. She keeps reminding me that she is the oldest person in Primary and I keep telling her NO the teachers are, she doesn't find that amusing.. lol.. Iman is so full of life and such a fast learner she will definitely be really really smart, I totally feel sorry for all the brothers in her life (Ray, Teki and Sam let me say I'm sorry ahead of time.. lol) I cant believe she is going to preschool this fall, Oh my Lord help the preschool teacher.
And that leaves MY TEKI.. Well he's still a spoiled brat, but I tell everyone he is so PERFECT, and of course I get the LAUGH in return, he's growing up so he wants to get dressed himself get in and out of the car himself, his favorite words are "I do it by myself MOM". Breaks my heart every time I hear it..
That's just an update of our kids.. I pray the Lord keeps them safe from harm and always keeps home in their heart..

To long..

So It's been a while since all this blogging stuff, I'm happy to say we have found some kind of medium here on our Finau household, Rugby and Volleyball (club) is amongst us and we just finished basketball season.. Mone played on 3 teams and Sione played on 2 teams.. So basically it was like everyone was on a team.. lol.. I give it to them it takes all of my energy to get them to all of those practices but really I don't know how they can practice.. OH to be young and have the energy of teenagers.. lol.. Imagine the things MOTHERS would get done if we had their energy..

My boys are playing for DC RUGBY which is all the way in Kaysville, Ut, yes it's a drive and YES, we still have no money for gas.. lol.. This is our first year playing and the boys have adapted well, David plays forward (which I have learned is similar to the line in football) and Mone plays outside center and Sione play Wing (which is like a running back) it has taken me some time to learn it all, and I still don't know what to yell when I'm watching them play.. I laugh because I want to say TOUCHDOWN when my boys score but apparently it's called a TRY.. I'm learning I really am. My husband loves this sport and use to play it, and when I mean loves this sport I mean loves loves loves. His relationship with the boys has taken a turn for the best I can see it growing. I've always been the one at the practices and at the games because dad has always worked but now that its a sport that he knows inside and out, he enjoys helping the boys with it and the boys are enjoying quality time with him. And at the end of the day that's really what its all about. The photos above are from rugby..

My daughter Lelu is back in full season with Club Union Volleyball, and their team is pretty good. They have placing in the top 2 in the past few tournaments they have been playing in and Lelu's game is getting better and better I see a huge improvement in her. I'm glad she got into this, I see a new attitude with her and sports. She is also back with Ame and the MKK dancing group, my daughter loves to dance and she is so excited to be back with it. Thanks Ame.

That about bring everyone caught up with our family.. Oh and the babies, how could I forget the babies.. They are still a pain, but ohhhh how I love them so much Iman is so smart she is 4 and has the vocabulary of a teenage girl, she is starting to tell and all the kids and she stands by what she says with an attitude.. lol.. Teki is still my sweetheart, a brat and I like it like that. I know I will totally regret it in a little while when he gets older..

Ok that's really it.. I plan on making this a everyday thing so please come back and visit..

Nov... 4th

What can I say about November 4Th.. lol..
17 years ago today I finally felt what it meant to feel real pain and real love at the same time.. You see today is my oldest son David birthday, and by pain I mean Natural Labor and by love I mean the kind that only a mother/son share.. The first time I saw you I couldn't believe you were finally here and really mines.. You were then and still are perfect in every way.. (minus the bumps in the road lol).. I couldn't of asked for a better first born son.. (minus the bumps on the road.. lol) May the Lord keep you by his side, and may you always remember to keep him by your side, for by his side you will accomplish all you have been sent down here to Earth to do.. When you talk about your goals that you have planned out for your life I cry a little I still see the small baby that I couldn't stop staring at all night when he was first born.. David may you ALWAYS know how much I love you, and may you ALWAYS know I'm on your side.. I love you son..

Very Grateful

Sometimes the world makes things harder then it really needs to be and then the Lord comes in and makes it sooooo simple..
Our plumbing has not been the business. Our kitchen sink has been on the NO WORKING side of things and so to do dishes we went old school we had to fill up 2 big bowls and one was for washing and you guessed it one was for rinsing. When all was done the boys carried the bowls out and dumped the water on the side of the house I know not very sanitary, but it was just dirty water.. We've been going this way for so long I don't even remember how long, it just seemed second nature to do things this way. Of course there was a lot of complaining about who's turn it was to take the bowls and of course I would just yell someones name out and they had to take it out..
We have been calling around for a long time to get quotes, and trust me we get some extra money (which really never happens) and we try and call then someone gives a number so HIGH that only in our dreams can we afford that, and the getting of the quotes is done for that moment..
The light at the end of the tunnel:
One of our ward members heard about our dilemma with our plumbing and showed up yesterday with the blessing of the bishopric and fixed it.. Yes you heard me right.. FIXED it.. I don't know who was more excited me for having fixed plumbing or the boys for NOT having to take out the big bowls of water. I am indeed grateful for our ward, for filling a need that we were unable to fill.. I'm grateful for the church and for all it has done for me and my family.. I just want to thank Tohi Similai for coming to the rescue you have NO idea all you have done for us.. You are the best..

UEA weekend is upon us, but we had some rough patches in the short 3 day week of school.. Monday 10/11/10 started normal, David had film at the high school @ 6am and then the day started from there Kids to Entheos by 8am, and then a day with the 2 babies eating, cooking, cleaning, taking long naps (not sure if I should admit that lol) then time to pick up kids drop Amone off at the high school for football practice and then home, short break and then time to take Sione to football practice while there David had hit wrong at football practice and had a sharp pain in his neck, and then finally football was over and we went home.. Finally meaning around 830pm.. Tuesday everything was good, Mone had a sophomore game against Copper hills High School at the end of the 2nd quarter Mone goes back to return the punt and catches it, next thing he know someone has his ankles and another player hits him with his helmet right on his knees, Mone is down and cant get up.. To the ER we go everything is ok but it will swell up and he will be in pain and out for some time..
Wednesday David plays varsity against the same school and of course he gets that same pain up his shoulder straight to his neck, so he leaves the game 3rd quarter..
Thursday they are both off the Ana Alusa to massage both of them they are know in the healing process and should heal fine, nothing is broken just some over worked nerves and some shifted muscles..
Friday, we are all cleaning or should I say the kids are... hahaha..
Happy UEA Utah kids, time to get ready for Saturday Siones game vs Cottonwood.. Go get em cougars..
